Healing from pain is a journey no one should have to walk alone

One of God's greatest gifts to us in the midst of pain is the gift of a safe other,

one who can be present to our suffering and guide us towards hope and healing.

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP

Begins July 16 • 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Meets every Tuesday in Café 242

Loss is an inevitable part of life, and grief is a natural part of the healing process. The reasons for grief are many, such as the death of a loved one, the loss of health or physical abilities, the letting go of a long-held dream, divorce, retirement, moving, pet loss, relationships that don't meet our expectations and so on.

Life After Loss is a group experience for people who have experienced a loss of any kind and are in need of the support of a safe and understanding community. Information about grief and loss will be provided in addition to opportunities for sharing and receiving support from others. This group will help people learn new ways for navigating the fear, guilt or anxiety that can be associated with the death of a loved one or significant loss. This is an opportunity for people to receive the support they need by openly sharing their grief journey or by being present and listening. There is no expectation for sharing but support is available for all.

If you could use help dealing with your grief or managing a loss, please join us.

You are not alone!

HOW CAN COUNSELING BE HELPFUL?

Our counseling ministry provides a safe and non judgmental space for people of all ages to grow in their self awareness, explore challenging life issues, confront hard truths, and to recapture the joy and well being that are oftentimes stolen by times of crisis and pain. Relief from psychological and emotional distress can be found when we find the courage to face our pain in the presence of a compassionate other.

Confidential, high quality counseling services are available for children, teens, adults, families, marital and pre-marital couples and are open to church members as well as those in our surrounding community.
